Did you know?

A Healthy Period is a Symptom Free Period?! (Yes, these are totally possible)

Balanced thyroid, sex and stress hormones are the cornerstone to a woman’s wellbeing.

Proper hormone balancing can improve weight, mood, energy, memory, cognition, sex drive, skin and sleep. Don’t let another day go by with hormones that control how you feel.

  • PMS & mood swings
  • Acne before or with your period
  • Painful or irregular periods
  • Hot flashes
  • Cravings around your cycle
  • Weight gain and stubborn weight loss
  • Bloating
  • Insomnia
  • Dry Skin
  • Fatigue & reduced exercise stamina
  • Low or no sex drive

These are just some of the symptoms that may indicate your hormones are out of balance. At Whole Medicine, we offer comprehensive hormonal workups to determine what treatments are best suited to your needs.

Salivary & Urine Hormone Panels

Salivary and urine hormone panels indicate your bioactive hormone levels. These tests can reveal how you actually use and breakdown your hormones

Blood Thyroid Testing

Complete thyroid panels (including TSH, T4, T3, reverse T3 and thyroid antibodies) offer the most complete assessment of your thyroid health. Conventional TSH testing as a stand alone test is an incomplete picture of thyroid function and leaves many women under-diagnosed. At Whole Medicine, we routinely run complete thyroid panels on our patients to help them get back to health!

Adrenal Saliva Hormone Testing

Your adrenals play a key role in your physical, mental & emotional health and well-being. If you are feeling burnt out or ‘tired but wired’ (tired, but you don’t sleep well) – adrenal testing may be indicated.

Have you been diagnosed with a slow thyroid but the medication didn’t make you feel any better? If you are taking Synthroid or Eltroxin and still feel like you have thyroid symptoms, you may have other factors underlying your thyroid disorder. Standard thyroid testing is not enough!

Many women experience poor conversion of their thyroid hormones from T4 to T3. T4 is the main hormone that is excreted from your thyroid, but it has to be converted to T3 in the body before it becomes active to your cells. Measuring TSH only, may give the picture of a healthy thyroid, but with a full assessment, we often see a different picture. It is possible to have a normal TSH and T4 but a low T3 (T3 is the hormone that brings energy to EVERY cell in your body!).

Did you know?

T3 is 400% more active than T4! Synthroid and eltroxin only provide your body with T4 and your body may not be converting it to the active, usable T3 hormone.

Some symptoms caused by a low functioning thyroid:

  • fatigue
  • weight gain or trouble loosing weight
  • dry skin, brittle nails, loosing hair
  • constipation
  • changes in menstrual cycles (heavy periods & irregular periods)
  • infertility & miscarriage
  • brain fog
  • mood changes
  • aching muscles & joints
